Sydney, 12 January 2022: Global cruise line operator, Royal Caribbean Group (RCG), has signed an agreement with Mint Payments (Mint) for MintEFT to facilitate payments from travel agents across its brands in Australia, encompassing Royal Caribbean International, Silversea, and Celebrity Cruises.
Royal Caribbean Group is one of the world’s largest cruise line operators, renowned for their focus on customer experience, creativity, and approach to sustainability and environmental responsibility across the group’s portfolio.
When selecting MintEFT for travel agent payments, the multi-level user management, options for standard or real-time payments, and automatic status updates were attractive features to RCG. RCG was also impressed with the large network of independent agencies and groups already on board with the platform – to date, Mint has established partnerships with groups such as Helloworld, Flight Centre, Express Travel Group, iTravel, Travel Managers, and more.
The agreement has seen MintEFT made available as a preferred payment option from December 2021, enabling a secure and simple process for processing payments and refunds for customer bookings.
Dave Humphreys, Director of Sales, Royal Caribbean Australia and New Zealand commented; ‘Royal Caribbean Group looks forward to offering Mint Payments as a payment option to support our travel partners.’
Mint’s Director of APAC Operations, Andrew Teoh, added; “The drive of Royal Caribbean Group to deliver the best experiences for customers and think creatively aligns well with Mint’s approach to its offering. The opportunity to partner with Royal Caribbean Group on a product like MintEFT means that both companies can continue to improve the experience of our agency partners and streamline some of the most time-consuming processes in the management of bookings.”
