Mint Appointed as AFTA Payment Partner

Mint Payments launches partnership with Velocity Frequent Flyer, enabling merchants to earn Velocity Frequent Flyer Points on eligible transactions.

Sydney AUS: 23 November 2017 — The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) is pleased to announce that Mint Payments Limited (ASX: MNW) has become an approved AFTA Insolvency Chargeback Scheme (AICS) payment provider.

AICS will provide protection to thousands of travel agents and securing Mint Payments as the Scheme’s newest payment partner is another strategic milestone.

Mint has a network of banking partners; enabling Mint to easily on-board AFTA accredited travel agencies. Mint also currently offers a seamless integrated payment solution through mid-office systems such Tramada and TravelPartner, as well as other travel software leaders such as OTALabs. Mint’s integration with these travel mid-office systems enables travel agents to take payments directly from their systems, eliminating keying errors, improving reconciliation and overall efficiencies.

AFTA Chief Executive Officer Jayson Westbury said: “AFTA is excited to welcome our newest payment partner Mint. Mint is a pioneer in omni-channel payments solutions that enables organisations and businesses of all sizes to accept, process and manage payments through various channels such as online, in person or through a mobile application.”

“We are thrilled to be one of the select approved payment partners of AICS and this adds another revenue channel for Mint. Travel is one of Mint’s key verticals and we are committed to offering payment solutions that are innovative and relevant to the sector. The partnership with AFTA further strengthens our payments offering in this large and growing sector,” added Mint’s Chief Executive Officer Alex Teoh.

ATAS Travel agents are encouraged to apply today for AICS at http://aics.org.au/join/
